Teaching Myself To Garden, and Homemade Compost Bin!

Hello everyone! So, lately I've been trying to teach myself how to garden.

I've just finished reading "Organic Garden Basics" by Bob Flowerdew. There's a lot more to gardening than just putting a seed in the dirt!

I had some luck with my summer garden...then we went on vacation and it died!

Digging up the garden was fun because it was LOADED with dragon flies!

Unfortunately, the area I live in doesn't exactly allow big gardens. If I had it my way, half of our backyard would be one giant garden!

In the beginning, I tried to make this compost bin all by myself, but thankfully, I got some much need help. Chicken wire just didn't behave as well as I had hoped it would...

Getting the measurements just right!

It's not the fanciest compost bin in the world...but it will have to do for now.

Securing the chicken wire to the poles.

Security.

Back up security!

All I need now is a flat wooden board to use as a door, a plastic tarp to cover the compost bin, and organic material- egg shells, straw, leaves, juice pulp, veggies, ect, ect.

The heat made me feel sick due to Pots and my heart rate (which is why I CAN'T WAIT for fall weather!!!), but I still love to garden! Hope everyone has a great week!
