Raw Energy- No More Chronic Fatigue Syndrome!

This past year, I've been experimenting with the raw food diet. I am not going to be completely raw, because I do like good, cooked grains like quinoa & rice. I like cage free eggs and free range meat too, and some cooked veggies, but I am doing way more raw now, than I was a year ago.

(the best raspberry/banana smoothie you will ever taste, EVER!)

I juice and drink green smoothies almost everyday. I eat hearty salads for lunch, and my dinner consists of more cooked food, but with some raw mixed in there as well. I try and make sure that I am eating something raw at every meal.

My number one reason behind eating more raw has to do with the amazing health benefits. If you've been a long time reader of my blog, then you know that I spent a rediculous amount of years suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, along with a number of other health issues. CFS is real and debilitating in ways I can't describe. One must suffer from this to have the full understanding. It is way more than just feeling tired. I still firmly believe that CFS is a horrible symptom than an actual condition.

My diet alone is the number one reason I no longer have CFS, along with 25 other health issues. Other factors can cause CFS, so diet alone may not always be the answer. It was for me, praise God!! Even with heavy metal poisoning, and POTS (due to heavy metal poisoning), I was able to conquer CFS.

When I say recovered from CFS, I mean that I truly have recovered. Instead of Chronic Fatigue, I live with "Chronic Energy". I'm literally never tired. Even at night, when it's time for bed, I don't feel tired. I'm a night owl by nature, but I still try my hardest to get to bed at a reasonable hour for health reasons. If lie in bed long enough, eventually, I fall asleep.

I've had CFS from 8 years old until about 20 years old. During my teen years, I felt that it was my fate to live a life of perpetual tiredness. Only in my dreams did I feel healthy and energetic. I truly cannot believe I can write a post saying that I have TONS of energy. The only thing that puts me to bed is the awful sickness I can feel from metal poisoning or treatments of detoxing, or if I get overstimulated from my damaged nervous system, from metal poisoning. Phew! That was a mouthful! It's really hard to lie in bed feeling so darn sick, when I have SO much energy to burn. I am still hopeful that these treatments will work and that I will live a life full of burning my everlasting energy!:)

My love for avocados will never die. Never, I tell you!

I've been going through a raw food "cook" book lately, and have been experimenting with unique and yummy raw food creations. this cashew/coconut truffle is amazing and healthy!

Rolling in the coconut flakes

I buy my coconut flakes in bulk, from Tropical Traditions.

There is so much one can do with coconut flakes, the possibilities are endless!

Homemade hummus with homemade, dehydrated flax crackers. I still need to work on my hummus flavoring skills. I do not used canned chickpeas. Instead, I soak my own over night, drain and rinse them the next morning, cook them for several hours, and finally, I painstakingly peel the skin off of the chickpeas. It's a process, which is why I make big batches at a time and freeze it. Dehydrated flax crackers are super easy to make and super nutritious as well.

Quinoa, walnut sald

Pistachio, bell pepper, raspberry salad. Dehydrated apples make an incredibly delicious contribution to any salad. I just discovered this yesterday! Yay!:)

I still lightly steam some veggie, but nothing beats the freshness of raw food. It gives your cells life and helps to unlock bad genes, all of which I greatly need. Here is a list of health problems I have recovered from with diet alone(Diet meaning- gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, processed food free, juicing, green smoothies, more raw food, good grains, real meat and eggs, ect)-

*Severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

*Fibromyalgia

*chronic Canker sores

*Acid reflux

*Chronic headaches- Literally, every single day for over a decade.

*Hypoglycemia

*Felt starving all day

*IBS

*OCD

*ADD

*Chronic pain in my lower abdomen- random, I know...

*Severe, chronic rib pain all day everyday.

*Bad anxiety for seemingly no reason at all.

*arrythmias

*Hair falling out

*Random rashes all over my back and face

*Brain fog to the most extreme, I can't even describe!!!

*Orthostatic Intolerance- got to where just sitting up in a chair became very hard. Standing in one place for more than a couple minutes made me feel faint and couldn't breath well, felt like I was losing oxygen or CO2.

*Chronic blackouts

*Light and sound sensitivities- have not fully gotten over this, but it has improved

*Stopped up ears all the time- could barely hear people talk at times.

*Chronic nose bleeds- still don't know what caused that!!

*Body felt constantly irritated.

*Extreme pressure in my head everyday.

*Tight band around my throat

*Chronic nausea

*Adrenaline rushes for no reasons

*ect...

There is power in food people! Why many doctors do not see the importance of it, I'll never understand. Food, as in my case, does not always, completely heal a person. Sometimes, it takes extra help, but food is still incredibly important and I am living proof of that. May everyone be blessed with good health and tons of energy!
